Theater de Stoep

Theater de Stoep is the meeting place for theater lovers in Spijkenisse and surroundings. Every year, the theater offers a varied theater program with cabaret, music, dance, youth theater and theater. On October 9, 2014, the official opening of the new location of Theater de Stoep was officially opened. The new theater is a transparent building with lots of windows and light. The design of the theater is by Ben van Berkel of Architectural Bureau UNStudio. The theater features two theater halls, various foyers, a theater café, artist café, VIP lounge, meeting rooms and offices. The grand hall has an orchestra box and seats 650 visitors. 461 seats are on the ground floor and 189 on the balcony. The small room has 200 seats in a stand-up arrangement. This room will be decorated at Club Cabaret and the music café with tables and chairs to create a completely different atmosphere. In addition, there are pop (pop) concerts with a suspended stand.

In all, the programming counts around the 190 shows in all imaginable genres. In the grand hall there are many famous plays, opera, cabaret, music, musical, dance and show. In the small-scale programs that get better, smaller and more intimate; including novice cabarets, new creators, youth theater, a music café with jazz and classics and a Club Cabaret.
