In 2001, the grefi cinema was completely rebuilt, renewed and expanded by a fifth cinema hall. Two years later, the cinema was taken over by the movie makers and current operators Mustafa El Mesaoudi and Jochen Kuhnert.

In five air-conditioned cinema halls you can experience the complete film offer. From children's films to Horro-Schocker we show you the latest cinema hits. Tom Gerhardt and Horst Schlämmer even came to grefi-kino to present their films to the public.

Since December 2010, two halls have also been equipped with digital projectors from NEC and with 3D technology (RealD-3D).
