The nineteenth-century section of Bergamo Onlus Foundation in History, who inherited the historical and artistic heritage of the Civic Museum of the Risorgimento and the Resistance, was held from May 7, 2004 in the property located within the tower of the fortress, built during the Venetian rule to stay gunners. The keep, in an elevated position, offering a 360 degree view of the city and some areas of the province: the main monumental buildings of the upper part, the village level, the hills of San Vigilio and the Maresana, Brembana Valley and the territory to Treviglio and Milan. The course, organized in sections, of the arrival of the French troops in Bergamo (Christmas 1796), and it's up until 1870, the most significant thematic nodes of the events of the Bergamo area, in relation with the Lombard and national history. The project aims to offer a complete picture as possible of the 1797-1870 period, in languages and diverse testimonies: The path uses ambient reconstructions, multimedia stations, audio featuring the voices of some of the protagonists of historical events, and material evidence, coming both from museum collections, whether the collections of towns and provincial institutions as well as private citizens.
