Believe it or not, but this famous actress is a real admirer of Kravice Waterfalls, an incredible natural wonder in Bosnia & Herzegovina, where she has been filming her last movie “On the Milky Road”. When you see the pictures, you will understand why, but visiting the place will make your jaw dropping. I can guarantee you this is one of most beautiful places you have ever laid your eyes on.

If you happen to be in Mostar, Dubrovnik, or another city on the Croatian cost, I urge you to visit this place. Located on the Trebižat River, only 40 km southwest of Mostar, Kravice Waterfalls are “in the middle of nowhere” destination. Therefore, I would suggest arranging a taxi transport or eventually renting a car. Either way, when you arrive at the car park, you will have 15-minute walk down the hill to reach the waterfalls.

The Kravice Waterfall is between 26-28 meters high and it creates a chain of 20 amazing falls, with 120 meters large lake below. Unlike most big waterfalls, this one is easily approachable and completely safe.

You will be pleased to hear that this is an ideal location for camping and even swimming, in spite of chilly temperatures. As if swimming under cascades and climbing on the rocks behind the falls weren’t enough, a rope swing has even been added for extra thrills.

This natural rarity is equally charming in all seasons. In summer they are calm, in winter rather wild. During the hot months, you will not resist to refresh yourself in these natural pools. Additionally, you can opt for rafting as well. Though, spring is the best time to visit the waterfalls as the lush green scenery is exceptionally beautiful.

So, next time when you want to enjoy this kind of natural phenomenon, you don’t need to plan your trip to Niagara or Iguazu Falls, because you have got equally stunning and less crowded waterfalls in the Balkans. Get ready to eternalize those moments, as seeing something so spectacular doesn’t happen often in life.
