Cyprus, the island of sun and sand. The cultural island of the Mediterranean sea and UNESCO's world heritage center. Cyprus is famous for its crystal clear water, its culture, its fantastic locals and, of course, its climate. But also famous for its food.

If you consider your self a foodie or even better a big food lover, then you are in the right place. Cyprus is famous for its traditional tasty food. But what happens when tradition and fine dining come together? A miracle happens.

If you find yourself in Cyprus and you are looking for an exceptional gastronomic experience, here is a shortlist of Fine Dine Restaurants in Nicosia and Limassol.

1. Pyxida Oyster Bar

If you are a fish lover, then you are in the right place. Located in the heart of the capital, people from outskirts are coming to Pyxida to enjoy the tasty dishes. Its character is sleek, simple, and classy with tones of white and blue lighting.

In Pyxida, you will have the opportunity to taste fish elaborated in all possible different ways. Plates are mainly cold-served, offering various types of tartare carpaccio and fin tuna (blue and yellow). We definitely recommend you to try the blue fin tuna; it will amaze you. Except for the great fish, the mussels are the star of the place. Prepare yourself to enjoy them in a whole variety of ways with many different sauces like wine, saganaki, ginger, mustard, fresh cream sauce, and the list goes on.

2. Artima Bistro

This one will astonish you, not only for the amazing food but also for the amazing location that it has. Artima Bistro is located in Limassol, just by the Medieval Castle. Its style is more classy and elegant, as it attracts businessman, socialities and everyone in between. Awarded with several Trip Advisor Certifications and Time out eating Awards, Artima Bistro is the place to be for experiencing Mediterranean flair through fine dining.

The Menu here is more extensive and the portions a little bit bigger than at other restaurants. Plates full of color that remind of a color palette. Tastes and flavors that will travel you through Mediterranean and Cyprus culture. I recommend trying the Halloumi Salad that combines the good of the earth with the culture of Cyprus. Filo pastry that covers halloumi cheese lying on a fresh green salad with dried figs, pomegranate seeds, fresh thyme and dressed with balsamic and yogurt dressing. This would be a perfect light starter. The mains are of a wide variety and offer plates for all tastes. Fish lovers, meat lovers, or even the vegan lovers, can taste dishes with a unique flavor and live fine dining the experience.

3. Do wine and Dine

This place is located in the landmark building of Limassol. Do Wine and Dine fine cuisine is one of the most popular fine dining restaurants in Limassol. Mainstream style, natural colors, and a lot of inspiration characterize this place.

Excellent cuisine with a gourmet approach and a touch of Cyprus culture makes this place unique and different. The menu consists of cold and hot plates. With a wide variety of starters and exquisite mains. Plates full of freshness, colors, and ideas. Marinated octopus with sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and caramelized onions that lay on a fava bean bed will be a perfect starter. Light full of tradition and flavor.

This place will satisfy even the most demanding pasta lovers. Portobello mushroom ravioli served with roasted and smoked Portobello mushrooms and goat’s cheese. And of course, don´t forget to order wine that is being stocked in the cellar in the basement of this great restaurant. Great wines that you can browse through to your heart’s content.

If you find yourself in Cyprus and you want a more exquisite experience in fine dining, don´t miss out on the chance to visit these fantastic places.
