Barcelona is one of the most popular tourist destinations in my country, and it totally makes sense, because the city offers a wide range of activities and sights to their visitors, as well as good weather, tasty food, nice beaches and fun festivals and party places. One of my previous stories is about a fantastic and long beach in Castelldefels, outside the city of Barcelona, that I had the opportunity to visit and enjoy last summer with my friends. But on this occasion, I am going to tell you about how to have a very fun and cheap night out in Barna (that is what people from Cataluña call the city).

I love partying with my friends, and we do it quite often when we are together. Partying is the way Spanish people socialize, and it is a big part of our culture as I mentioned in previous articles. I was very lucky that time because I have one of my friends and cousins living there, so they know the city and the clubs quite well and they could take us to the best party places in the city. I need to say that I really enjoyed the trip and the party there, and the place I am about to introduce is great to have dinner and do pre-drinks if you want to finish the night partying in a club.

La Rosa Negra

I am a big fan of Mexican (not very spicy) food and the cool atmosphere people often find in Mexican restaurants. But seriously, La Rosa Negra was without doubts, the most fun Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. There are only two Rosa Negra places in Spain, one in Madrid and one in Barcelona. We went there with no reservation or booking, and the place was quite busy as usual. But the greeter told us to wait for an hour for a table and so we decided to stay and to start drinking mojitos. Attention here, mojitos were only 3€ and they had different flavours and were very nice and refreshing (since the weather in Barcelona is very hot in summer). So the waiting wasn't waiting at all, it turned into party and fun.

After two rounds of mojitos for all my friends, we ordered some food: tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos and everything was delicious. The service of the place was fantastic, and all the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and nice, with tattoos and piercings.  The decoration is another feature worth highlighting, since it is very colourful, energetic, and fun, with plenty of Mexican decorations hanging on the walls, and cool lights and murals all around. The prices were quite cheap and they served plenty of good quality food. I think all of us were really happy and surprised with the cool atmosphere, food, service, and drinks. After finishing with the food, the place gave us free tequila shots, so we had the perfect beginning to a night out!

So if you are wondering how to have a fun night out in Barna and you don't necessarily want to spend much money, La Rosa Negra is the perfect place to enjoy food, drinks, your friends, plus the atmosphere before going to a club or pub! I recommend it 100%.
